Ways to Get Involved
-
Donate / Financial Support
Financial contributions are crucial for WFEF to carry out its mission—funding habitat and wetland restoration, educational programs, scholarships, and infrastructure (like the Soaring Eagle Wetland).-
You can make one-time donations.
-
You can also give via membership (see below), which supports long-term funding.
-
-
Become a Member
WFEF offers various membership levels (e.g. Youth, Individual, Soaring Eagle, President’s Wildlife Circle, Lifetime) with associated benefits. Membership helps sustain operations, supports project funding, and shows your commitment to wildlife conservation and education in PA. -
Volunteer / Event Participation
There are public events and projects where volunteers are needed, e.g.:-
Events: WFEF hosts events like the Great Outdoor Picnic, the John M. Frailey Memorial Sporting Clay Classic, etc. These events often need volunteers to help with tasks like setting up, managing activities, guiding participants, raffles, etc.
-
Habitat / Wetland Projects: As WFEF develops projects like the Soaring Eagle Wetland, there are usually opportunities for hands-on involvement: trail building, cleanup, planting native species, helping with accessible features.

Scholarship Applications
If you’re a student pursuing studies or activities in conservation, ecology, wildlife biology, natural resources, etc., WFEF offers scholarships of up to five $1,000 awards. Recipients also receive a one-year membership and are encouraged to engage with WFEF events or write for their PA Wildlife magazine. -
Sponsorships & Partnerships
Businesses, community groups, or individuals can sponsor events, donate toward specific projects (e.g. wetland construction, educational exhibits, media), or partner with WFEF in specific outreach or habitat programs. These partnerships help leverage greater impact. -
Support the Capital Campaign / Long-Term Projects
WFEF has initiated a $12,000,000 Capital Campaign to build a Wildlife Education and Research Center. This center would include classrooms, labs, interactive exhibits, and research capacities. Supporting this campaign (through donations, pledges, or by helping raise awareness) is a way to contribute to lasting infrastructure. -
Communicate & Advocate
-
Follow and share WFEF in social media, read and promote its magazine Pennsylvania Wildlife. That raises awareness.
-
Contact WFEF (via email or phone) to offer ideas, suggest collaborations, or request roles that match your skills.
