Centre County Stream Restorations

Wildlife For Everyone Foundation teams up with Penns Valley Conservation Association, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the North Central PA Conservancy DEP Growing Greener to make improvements to Penns Creek in Centre County. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission provided the design for the project. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat and US Fish & Wildlife Service completed the construction with the help of crews from Quehanna Boot camp and PVCA volunteers. Installed were 600 foot mud sill and two log vanes on a section of Penns Creek across from Kline Road in Gregg Township, Centre County. In the fall a buffer will be planted along the stream and installation of Ag BMP's in the spring.
