Seedlings for Schools
-
A partnership with the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Howard Nursery. Pennsylvania K-12 schools, including homeschool groups, receive tree seedlings for students to plant at home or school.
-
Also includes opportunities for middle and high school students to use seedlings to develop habitats on school or community grounds (e.g. stream bank planting, creating environmental areas).
-
This program is free for participating schools. The cost of shipping is covered through donations and grants.

Pollinator Garden Program
-
Designed to teach students about pollinators, types of plants that attract them, and how to build effective gardens. Schools can order bundles of native trees and shrubs (e.g., packs of 25 plants) that are pollinator-friendly.
-
The program has seen high demand; in 2019 the pollinator garden bundles were sold out quickly.
